Ronald M. Judd is a managing director at Marsh and has 28 years of experience in the insurance, financial services, and automotive industries. In his current role, Ron works with Marsh’s senior client executives to identify and develop new business opportunities in the large client space and to ensure that the full breadth of Marsh’s resources is brought to bear to the benefit of Marsh’s clients.

Previously, Ron spent 15 years in international leadership roles in London and Tokyo, including director and advisory experience on 17 company boards in 10 countries. Ron served as senior vice president of international M&A and strategic initiatives at AmTrust Financial and as president, Maiden Global Holdings. In these roles Ron led new market development activities and held leadership responsibilities for operations generating client business in 14 countries and producing over $100 million annually of profitable affinity-driven reinsurance and fee income revenue.

As executive vice president of GMAC Insurance, Ron held leadership responsibilities for General Motor’s international commercial insurance operations, based in London. Ron led the business through a period of tremendous growth- from $70 million of annual revenue and $2.8 million of net income to more than $1.2 billion of annual revenue and $100 million of net income. Ron oversaw activities in 30 countries and led the successful implementation of a global fee-income generation model; the acquisition, integration and profitable growth of Mexico’s 4th largest insurance company; the establishment of a Sweden-based, European Union-licensed life insurance company; the profitable development and growth of insurance platforms in the United Kingdom, Australia, Russia, Bermuda, and Germany; and the establishment of a market-leading extended warranty service platform in the high-growth Chinese market.

Earlier, Ron held leadership responsibilities for the GM Corporate Risk Financing group, directing the annual negotiation, procurement, and implementation of GM’s global property and casualty insurance programs. Concurrently, Ron was president of GM’s captive insurance company and had stewardship responsibilities for GM’s global insurance company and brokerage relationships.

Ron received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Utah and an MBA from Brigham Young University.
