Deborah Bayle

Deborah Bayle serves as a director of People’s Utah Bancorp, where she chairs the Nominating/Governance Committee, and as a member of the Audit and Compensation Committees. She has served on more than 25 corporate and nonprofit boards and currently serves on eight. She chairs the Deborah S. Bayle Scholarship for Youth, which provides four-year college scholarships to at-risk students. She serves as a director and Program Committee chair of the National Association of Corporate Directors Utah Chapter; as a director of the United Way Retirees Association and the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute; and as secretary-treasurer of the Utah Golf Foundation. She also serves on the Executive Council of Women United and as a trustee of the Mark and Kathie Miller Foundation. Her past board service includes the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco Salt Lake City Branch, St. Mark’s Hospital, and Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah.
Bayle retired as president and CEO of United Way of Salt Lake in August 2015, a position she held for 16 years. Her tenure at United Way culminated a 39-year career serving the nonprofit sector. She currently has her own consulting company, DSB Consulting, where she provides professional development and organizational management services.
Bayle has received numerous awards and recognitions during her career, most notably the Athena Businesswoman of the Year from the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce; Outstanding Achievement Award from the YWCA-Utah; the Titan Award from the Sandy Chamber of Commerce; 100 Most influential People from Utah Business Magazine, and Outstanding Nonprofit Executive from Utah Nonprofits Association.
