James D. Chiafullo is a business group director at Cohen & Grigsby, where he focuses on corporate governance, securities, commercial finance, and real estate law. Earlier in his career, he spent 10 years as general partner with Thorp, Reed & Armstrong and as in-house counsel for Gulf Oil in Pittsburgh and Houston, Texas.

Chiafullo is on the board of FNB Corporation where he is chairman of the Nominating and Governance Committee. He was a member of the Hearing Committee serving the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania for six years. He is also a director emeritus of the board of the Western Pennsylvania Epilepsy Foundation. Chiafullo was one of the founders of the NACD Three Rivers Chapter, where he was the first chairman of the board and served for six years in this capacity. He remains a member and is chairman emeritus presently.

Chiafullo is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for corporate mergers and acquisitions and business. He has a BA in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh and a JD from the University of Pittsburgh Law School.
