Julie Robertson retired as executive chairman of Noble Corp. plc in 2021 after having served in various roles of increasing responsibility for more than 40 years. She was appointed chairman of the board, president, and chief executive officer of Noble in January 2018, and previously, she served as executive vice president of the company from February 2006 and as senior vice president - Administration from July 2001 to February 2006. She served as vice president - Administration from 1994 to July 2001, and prior to 1994, Robertson held various management positions in Administration, Human Resources, and Risk Management beginning in 1979. She also served continuously as corporate secretary of Noble from 1993 until assuming the chairman role in 2018.

Robertson currently serves on the Board of Directors of EOG Resources Inc. where she chairs the Nominating, Governance, and Sustainability Committee, as well as on the Board of Superior Energy Resources, where she chairs the Compensation Committee. She is Board Chair as well as Nominating and Remuneration Committee Chair for Seadrill. She also serves on the board of Patterson UTI and the NACD Texas TriCities Chapter.
