Mel Parker

Mel Parker is an accomplished executive and an internationally recognized inspirational and servant leader. He is the best-selling author of The Parker Principles: 10 Leadership Force Multipliers and a highly sought after Speaker, Educator, and Executive Coach. As a global business leader, Mel has developed deep expertise in multiple industries: Food and Beverage, Consumer Products, Technology, and Financial Services. In the roles as President, CEO, and Managing Director or General Manager, Mel has successfully led global teams of more than 18,000 team members while delivering multibillions of dollars in annual revenue.

Mel is currently a member of the Board of Directors for V2X (NYSE:VVX), a multibillion-dollar organization that provides global logistics, information technology, and network communications services to government entities in 26 countries. Mel also serves on the Board of Directors for Coinstar, an Apollo Global Company, based in the US with a global footprint that turns consumers’ coins into the cash they need. Mel reaffirms his commitment to veterans and their families by serving on the Board of Directors of Team Red, White & Blue, a nonprofit organization with the singular mission of enriching the lives of Americas veterans and connecting them with their communities.

Mel is currently President and CEO of Take The Limits Off LLC, a senior leadership development and executive coaching firm based out of Austin, Texas. He has been featured in Black Enterprise, Savoy, and Vetrepreneur magazines. Along with various military and civilian awards, Parker was also named one of the Top 100 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America in 2012 and then again in 2014. In 2021, Mel was named one of the Top 20 Executive Coaches in Austin.

Mel graduated from the US Military Academy at West Point and served with distinction in the 82nd Airborne Division. During his service, Mel graduated from Airborne School and Ranger School along with combat service during Operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield.

Parker transitioned from the military, retiring with the rank of captain, and embarked on a 28-year journey in corporate America with senior leadership roles at PepsiCo, Corporate Express (Staples), Newell Brands’ Rubbermaid, Dell Technologies, and Brink’s.
