Richard Holt

Richard Holt is a managing director of Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement in Houston. He specializes in complex business transformation, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and program and change leadership for human resources technology (HRIS) and finance and accounting (F&A) initiatives across the manufacturing, construction, financial services, energy, utility, logistics, retail, and healthcare sectors.

Richard partners with client leadership to drive enterprise-wide transformation and operational performance improvements. Most recently he led the transformation of a $1.2 billion global industrial services company to lay the foundation for over $120 million in EBITDA improvement. Richard oversaw the transformation’s cost optimization initiatives, including organization/segment consolidation, SG&A reductions, leveraged procurement spend, and standardizing operational processes. He also led revenue initiatives to optimize the sales organization, standardize pricing, and create playbooks focused on improving cross-sell amongst teams.

Richard has led integration management offices (IMO) for complex mergers and acquisitions spanning back office, contracts, and customer workstreams. In these roles he also led the exit of transition services agreements (TSA) to minimize transaction cost and optimize value. In addition, he brings extensive experience in leading strategy development and program and change management for both human resources technology (HRIS) and finance & accounting (F&A) programs.

Prior to joining A&M, Richard served in various capacities with a Big Four consulting firm where he served Fortune 1000 clients in the technology, manufacturing, energy, healthcare, and logistics industries.

Richard earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in finance from Texas A&M University.
