Liane Hinrichs

Liane Hinrichs brings a unique combination of public company board experience and C-suite leadership. She joined the Board of Directors of Matrix Service Com. (Nasdaq: MTRX) in 2018. She is the chair of the Nominating & Governance Committee and also serves on the Audit and Compensation Committees. Matrix is a premier provider of engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance, and turnaround services to the North American and international onshore energy, power, and industrial markets. She also serves on the NACD Texas TriCities Chapter Board.

From 2008 through late 2017, Hinrichs was a member of the Executive Committee and SVP, general counsel, and corporate secretary of McDermott International Inc. (MII), an international engineering, procurement, construction, and installation firm serving the offshore oil and gas industry. Her responsibilities also included legal oversight of the nuclear-focused Government Operations (BWX Technologies) and the Power Generation Systems (B&W) Groups until their 2010 spin-off. She joined MII in 1999. Between 1983 and 1999, she was affiliated with two New Orleans law firms, one as a partner from 1991-1999, specializing in litigation and transactions.

Hinrichs was recognized by Martindale Hubbell as one of the Preeminent Women Lawyers in 2014 and by Houston Woman Magazine as one of the Top 50 Most Influential Women in Houston in 2012.

She received a Master of Law in Securities Regulation, with distinction, from Georgetown University Law Center. She also earned a JD, cum laude, from Tulane University School of Law, and a BA from Tulane with English Honors.
