Frances Jeter has been a director of Stellar Bancorp Inc. since October 2022 and prior to that a member of the board of directors of Allegiance Bancshares since 2014.

While at FGS Global and its predecessor firm, SVC, Jeter has advised clients on mergers and acquisitions; activist shareholder preparation and defense; take-private transactions; initial public offerings; joint ventures; review of strategic alternatives; investor days; Chapter 11 financial restructurings; executive transitions; cyber matters; environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) and energy transition; reputation and crisis management; issues management and public affairs; litigation support; and corporate positioning and profile-raising.

As a current director of a public company board and in her role at SVC, Jeter is focused on corporate strategy and execution, corporate governance, succession planning, board and director assessments, risk assessment, ESG and sustainability matters, corporate reputation and issues management, and human capital and executive transition and compensation matters.

Prior to joining SVC, Jeter was group vice president of internal and external affairs for Spectra Energy, a pipeline and midstream company, where she was responsible for investor and financial communications, sustainability and ESG, stakeholder relations, issues management and crisis communications, executive positioning and communications, and media, brand, and graphics. She previously served as vice president of public affairs for Duke Energy Gas Transmission, a predecessor company of Spectra Energy.

Jeter is a life trustee emerita and a past chair of The Kinkaid School board of trustees in Houston and a former trustee of The Hockaday School in Dallas. She is the founding chair of Houston’s The Fay School and is also a founding board member and former chair of LIFE (Local Infant Formula for Emergencies) Houston. She also is a former member of the board of directors of the Greater Houston Community Foundation, St. Luke’s Episcopal Health Charities, and Park People. Jeter is a board member of the Texas TriCities Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors and a member of Women Corporate Directors, Executive Women in Energy, and the United Way of Greater Houston’s Alexis de Tocqueville Society.

Jeter earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
