David E. Preng has been on six public boards that encompass over 35 years of service. This includes serving as a board director of Cal Dive International from 2006 to 2014 (governance and compensation chair); lead director (and organizer) of Community National Bank in Bellaire, Texas, from 2002 until its sale in 2012; and for nine years (1997 to 2006), as a director of Remington Oil and Gas (chair of the Compensation Committee and lead independent director).

Mr. Preng is a founding board member and past president and chair of the NACD Texas TriCities Chapter, a member of Texas A&M University’s International Advisory Board, and a fellow of the Institute of Directors in London.

Since 1980, Mr. Preng has been president and CEO of Preng & Associates, and earlier he held increasingly responsible financial, managerial, and executive positions with Shell Oil, Litton Industries, and Southwest Industries. He is also a member of several international technical and business organizations. In 2008, he was recognized by Business Week among “The World’s 50 Most Influential Headhunters” and was also included in their recent ranking.

Mr. Preng holds a bachelor of science degree in finance from Marquette University and a master of business administration from DePaul University.
