Tim Miner

Retired Retail Executive; Board Chair, The Home for Little Wanderers

Tim Miner is the former President of the Marmaxx division of TJX Companies, serving from January 2016 to August 2022. Marmaxx is a $30 billion business with over 2,400 stores, including TJMaxx and Marshalls. During his tenure, Tim was responsible for overseeing sales, profits, strategic planning, marketing, merchandising, distribution, and human capital management.

Tim began his retail career at Jordan Marsh in Boston and holds a degree in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Vermont.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tim has been deeply involved with The Home, the oldest and largest non-profit organization serving children and families in Massachusetts. Over a 15-year association, he has contributed as a board member, participating in finance, investment, nomination and governance, and audit committees. For the past six years, he has served as Board Chair, driving impactful initiatives and fostering positive change.

Tim and his wife Lauren reside in Nantucket and Sherborn, Massachusetts. They have three grown children and have opened their home as foster parents to three children.

In his free time, Tim enjoys gardening, cooking, historic preservation, and outdoor activities such as skiing.
