Tim Davis is a risk and financial advisory principal who focuses on serving public clients in the technology, media, and telecommunication sectors. Tim has 30 years of experience with Deloitte, and during that time, he has lived in South Africa, Europe, the UK, and the US, and has worked in our Audit & Assurance practice and our Risk & Financial Advisory practice. He specializes in the areas of external and internal audit, initial public offering (IPO) readiness, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance, blockchain, cybersecurity, data analytics, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) services. Tim leads the firm’s relationship with a number of large technology, telecom, and social media clients, and in that role, he is responsible for bringing the breadth of the firm’s capabilities together to solve our clients’ most complex needs. Tim leads the Risk & Financial Advisory practice in Seattle, and in that role, he is responsible for growing the practice and nurturing an engaged and high-performing culture. Tim leads Deloitte’s Global Center of Excellence for Blockchain Assurance, an initiative to drive global coordination and capability development regarding assurance services over blockchain and digital assets. The Center coordinates client acceptance, methodology development, the development of global community, the sharing of leading practices, and technology development. The Center has developed an award-winning technology solution for auditing blockchains and digital assets, which is now integral to our audit approach in this growing industry. He serves a range of digital asset clients, including a number of large digital asset exchanges, crypto custodian services, and enterprises adopting blockchain technology.
