He led a $ Billion+ P&L, spanning 10 countries over 2 continents and thousands of employees. His position has put him at the forefront of a number of critical topics for boards including: Workforce of the Future, Digitization of a traditional business, Restructuring, Managing a GenZ population and many aspects of WeWork’s ESG proposition. Generating over an 8x equity return thru a SPAC merger IPO in October 2021, 300+% IRR thru a combination of revitalizing topline sales growth, driving retention, building portfolio exits, renegotiating key contracts, changing the culture and redesigning the organization. Shyam is a sought after speaker and guest lecturer on the subjects of workforce of the future, operational turnarounds, digital transformation, restructuring, shareholder activism, future of bricks & mortar retail/real estate, consumer behavior, and the value of brand. He has been invited to speak at numerous industry conferences and a guest lecturer at numerous business schools including NYU, Columbia and Harvard.
