Sherin Sakr

Sherin Sakr was born in Cairo, Egypt, and lived in Germany and Puerto Rico before settling in the United States. She is fluent in Arabic, German, Spanish and English. She received her B.S. from the University of Cincinnati in 1996. She obtained her JD and LLM in Taxation from the University of Denver in 1999 and 2001, respectively. Before leaving Denver, she worked for the regional law firm of Snell & Wilmer LLP, during which time she assisted in the drafting of disclosure documents and franchise agreements for Cold Stone Creamery's development into Taiwan, China and South Korea. Immediately prior to joining Kahala Brands, she was a Senior in the International Tax Services group of Ernst & Young LLP in Irvine, CA. In her various roles at Kahala Brands, Ms. Sakr drafted and negotiated international franchise agreements, managed the international trademark portfolio for all brands franchised by Kahala Brands, prosecuted trademark infringers around the globe, and was actively involved in the negotiation and purchase of America’s Taco Shop, Planet Smoothie, Tasty D’Lite, Pinkberry, Maui Wowi, Baja Fresh and La Salsa, the integration of those brands into Kahala’s systems, including the drafting of franchise disclosure documents and re-negotiation of supplier agreements, and the ultimate sale of Kahala Brands to MTY Group in Canada. As VP Legal at Realogy Franchise Group, she was brand counsel for Century 21 Real Estate and Coldwell Banker Real Estate, supporting their sales, operations, and marketing functions, as well as being involved in various companywide strategic projects impacting all brands franchised by Realogy. Sherin is now General Counsel for WellBiz Brands, the franchisor of Amazing Lash Studio, Elements Massage, Fitness Together, and most recently, Drybar and Radiant Waxing.
