Rod Wedemeier has over 27 years of human resources experience across several industries and is currently the global HR leader for Mohawk Industries. With over $11 billion in sales, Mohawk is the world’s largest flooring manufacturer with operations in 19 countries and over 40,000 employees.

Rod joined Mohawk in 2016 as Vice President Human Resources for Dal Tile, Mohawk’s North American ceramic business in Dallas, TX. In 2018, he became the human resources leader for Flooring North America, the company s largest segment with products including residential and commercial carpet, hardwood, laminate, rugs, and vinyl flooring and accessories. He was named to his current role as Senior Vice President in 2020 where continued Mohawk’s innovative approach to healthcare partnering with Cigna to operate onsite clinics focused on population health. The company s strategies have proven effective at improving employee well-being and driving down healthcare costs for members and the organization.

Rod began his career with Cargill and later joined Oshkosh Corporation, a global specialty vehicle manufacturer. At Oshkosh, he held human resources leadership roles in multiple businesses including concrete mixer and refuse collection vehicles, airport rescue & firefighting trucks, military and defense, and corporate talent development.

Rod graduated from the University of Iowa with a business degree in human resources and industrial relations.
