Senior Director, Executive Compensation & Board Advisory | Work & Rewards

Mike Oclaray is a Senior Director in the Executive Compensation & Board Advisory practice within WTW’s Work & Rewards line of business. Based in Los Angeles, he specializes in the review and design of compensation programs for corporate
leaders. He works with organizations to:

  • Clarify the executive compensation strategy, develop the performance measurement framework that supports business strategy and stakeholder interests and design cash- and equity-based incentive programs in support of that framework
  • Evaluate alignment of executives’ realizable pay with corporate performance
  • Consider implications of shareholder adviser guidelines and regulatory developments on governance of executive pay
  • Review and advise on nonemployee board members’ compensation.

During his 30 years in the executive compensation field, Mike has assisted clients in a wide range of industries – particularly in consumer-focused businesses – including airlines, athletic and outdoor apparel, chain restaurants, consumer food products, health care, renewable energy, retail and utilities.

Mike earned an M.B.A. from The Raymond A. Mason School of Business at The College of William & Mary and a B.A. in Public Relations from Pepperdine University. He writes and serves as a frequent speaker on executive pay, performance measurement and board advisory matters. For WTW’s Executive Compensation & Board Advisory practice, Mike is a member of both the global leadership team and the practice council for North America. Of Mexican and Filipino descent, he is also a leader of WTW’s Multi-Cultural Inclusion Network.
