Mark Zavodnyik is a Director in Grant Thornton’s ESG & Sustainability practice based in Philadelphia. He has over 10 years’ experience working with organizations to evaluate growth opportunities while considering a variety of ESG and sustainability factors. At Grant Thornton, Mark focuses on supporting clients to develop leading ESG programs which align with their long-term investment objectives and client expectations. He has led engagements focused on ESG strategy, policy creation, materiality, peer benchmarking, program development, pre-investment due diligence, governance, and reporting. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Mark worked at HighQuest Partners, a boutique strategy advisory consultancy, where he led engagements supporting corporate and private equity clients to make informed investment decisions across the food and agriculture value chain. Mark co-authored the Global AgInvesting Rankings & Trends Report (2020), the first comprehensive analysis of institutional investment into the global food and agriculture asset class. Mark has spoken at a number of industry conferences regarding opportunities to integrate ESG considerations across business operations. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame.
