Mae McDonnell

Faculty Co-Director of the Zicklin Center for Corporate Governance & Professor of Management at the Wharton School

Mary-Hunter (“Mae”) McDonnell is Faculty Co-Director of the Zicklin Center for Corporate Governance and a Professor of Management at the Wharton School. Mae holds a Ph.D. in Management and Organizations from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. Her award-winning research centers on corporate governance, non-market strategy, and corporate social responsibility. She has published articles in leading peer-reviewed scholarly journals including the Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, the American Sociological Review, Psychological Science and Organization Science. Her dissertation won the Best Dissertation Prize from Oxford University’s Centre for Corporate Reputation, and she has also been awarded the Best Paper Prize by the Strategic Management Society. She currently serves as an Associate Editor of Organization Science and sits on the Editorial Boards of Administrative Science Quarterly and the Academy of Management Journal.
