Josie Abboud, FACHE

President & CEO, Methodist Hospital and Methodist Women’s Hospital; Executive Vice President, Methodist Health System 

Josie Abboud, FACHE, serves as President & CEO of Methodist Hospital and Methodist Women’s Hospital and Executive Vice President of Methodist Health System. 

Abboud’s career at Methodist began as a critical care staff nurse, and she’s previously held a variety of leadership roles including service executive, vice president and executive vice president and chief operating officer. 

She has been recognized numerous times and was awarded with Modern Healthcare’s Top Women Leaders, Creighton University’s Believe & Achieve Leadership Award for her leadership and service to the community and healthcare. She also received the prestigious ICAN Leadership Award recognizing her efforts leading her organization through the pandemic. She has also been featured in Healthcare Executive Magazine’s cover story on Women in Leadership. She has been previously recognized by Becker’s Hospital Review as a top women hospital and health system leader to know and named as the ACHE Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Award recipient and the American Cancer Society’s National St. George Award winner. She was also previously named as one of Midlands Business Journal’s “Women of Distinction” and a “40 Under 40” honoree. 

She is an active community and corporate leader and has served on the boards of Creighton University’s Board of Trustees, Mutual of Omaha, Nebraska Hospital Association, Hospice House, Creighton Prep Board of Trustees, Marian High School Board of Directors, Creighton University’s College of Nursing Advisory Board and Jaybackers Executive Committee, American Cancer Society, Christ the King’s Education Steering Board, Archbishop’s Committee for Development, Visiting Nurses Association, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 6-state High Plains Division Board of the American Cancer Society, United Way’s Campaign, Community Health Charities and Child Saving Institute. Abboud is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the Medical Group Management Association. 

Abboud earned her bachelor's degree in nursing at Creighton University and her master's degree in business administration and health care management from Regis University in Denver. She was also awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters by Midland University. 

Abboud is married and enjoys family time with her husband, Jason, son, Xavier (21), daughter, Brielle (19), and silver Labrador, Coco.
