Jeff Soplop is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in cleantech, AI analytics, SaaS, automation, intelligent buildings, utility demand-side management programs, and the Internet of Things (IoT). He has held executive roles across tech companies of all sizes, driving multiple successful exits. His climate tech experience spans industry leaders such as Brightly Software, ICF, EnergySavvy, Phoenix Energy Technologies, and Rockwell Automation.

In 2023, Jeff founded Nimble Energy, a company focused on empowering energy and facilities teams with an automated, personalized, and data-driven platform to optimize energy and utility performance. Nimble Energy integrates advanced AI and machine learning to streamline energy management, uncover savings, motivate teams, and drive sustainability goals.

Jeff has led research and development efforts in areas such as behavioral energy, smart building solutions, and enterprise energy management. His expertise includes AI-analytics methods like predictive analytics, machine learning algorithms, fault detection and diagnostics, and model-predictive control.

An adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Jeff teaches a course on data science and the energy transition. He is also a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) through the Association of Energy Engineers and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute. Jeff holds a BS in Integrated Science and Technology from James Madison University, an MA in Mass Communication from UNC-Chapel Hill, and an MS in Economics from Johns Hopkins University.
