Fernando Morera is a Senior Manager at EY, focusing on AI strategy and governance.

He advises members of the Board and C-Suite executives of Fortune 500 organizations on AI risks and opportunities, while offering a unique point of view on AI regulation. His practice is primarily focused on health care and life sciences organizations.

Previously, Fernando was a founding member of EY Cambridge Lab, where he led the incubation of AI and Web3 solutions, alongside new business models to better serve EY clients. He was also a startup operator, having supported an MIT-born venture with the design, development, and deployment of open-source pandemic response tools.

In the past, Fernando advised large corporations, private equity and venture capital funds, and high-growth companies on a wide range of transactional and tax planning matters. He began his career as a practicing attorney in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Fernando was a Technology Law Fellow at Stanford Law School, where he conducted research on the governance of open-source technologies. He was also an NYU Law Fellow at the International Monetary Fund, where he contributed to legal policymaking in public finance and taxation.

He holds Master’s (Harvard Medical School), LL.M (NYU School of Law), Law and Accounting (University of Buenos Aires) degrees.
