Dee Spagnuolo
Partner, Ballard Spahr
Dee Spagnuolo is co-leader of Ballard Spahr’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Counseling Team and a member of the firm’s Environmental, Social, and Governance Team. Dee’s DEI work includes advising corporate, educational, and non-profit clients with respect to their internal and external DEI policies and practices. Dee regularly trains boards of directors, general counsel, compliance officers, and human resource representatives on DEI best practices, and conducts DEI gap assessments and advises on the design and implementation of holistic DEI programs, including in the areas of governance, workforce, supplier diversity, and community investment, for public and private clients across industries.
Dee also serves as Ballard Spahr’s Partner in Charge of Attorney Career Advancement and a member of the firm’s Executive Team, where she is responsible for the recruitment, professional development, compensation, evaluation and promotion of approximately 350 lawyers across the firm’s 15 offices. She also serves as a member of Ballard Spahr’s Diversity Council and Equality Ballard business resource group.
Dee’s pro bono work has focused on gender equity in sports as she represents the players on the U.S. Women’s National Hockey Team, as well as the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association.
Dee is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School and earned her undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College, where she was a three-sport varsity athlete and earned All-American honors. Dee currently serves as a Trustee to Bowdoin College.
