Dr. Das Dasgupta is the Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Starbucks. He has held leadership roles at Amazon, McKinsey, Viacom, EY, and Saatchi, a journey that rounded him well across diverse functions, including Customer Experience, Operational Excellence, Marketing, Advertising, and Product Innovation. He has over 25 years of experience leading organizations through Strategy, Operations, and Data Analytics initiatives. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Data Science at the Marshall School of Business at USC and holds a Dual Ph.D. in Operations Research and Management Science from Penn State University. 

Das is an expert in building and improving 'Moneyball Teams, ' which utilize data and artificial intelligence to grow revenues and cut costs for businesses. This includes building top-tier data strategy teams and systems with the right AI and machine learning technologies so that companies can make informed data-driven decisions related to marketing and advertising, operations/supply chain, and back-office automation.

Some of his notable achievements include developing an AI/ML-powered system for Publicis that increased return on ad spend for their clients by an average of 40%. He led Robotic Process Automation for the order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and records-to-reports systems for Viacom’s back office, saving $30M over 2 years. Additionally, he played a key role in developing Amazon’s process of taking a picture of a delivered package and sending it to the customer, significantly improving the customer experience and saving Amazon $100M+ in costs. Across the companies Das has been involved with, his work has contributed to over $500M in cost savings and revenue growth.
