Constance Hunter

Executive Vice President, Head of Strategy and ESG, AIG; Board Member, National Bureau for Economic Research

Constance Hunter is a member of AIG’s Executive Leadership team. In her role as Executive Vice President, Head of Strategy and ESG, Constance uses applied economics to capitalize on strategic opportunities to drive profitable growth for AIG and deliver sustainable value to its stakeholders. Prior to joining AIG, Constance was the Chief Economist for KPMG, a member of its Growth and Strategy leadership team and Pension Advisory Committee. She is known for correctly identifying inflection points in economies that drive critical business decisions. She was also one of the first economists to correctly forecast the extensive economic impacts of COVID-19. She is a past president and former board member of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE) where she has also been recognized as a fellow. She continues to serve on the NABE Statistics Committee. She presently serves on the board of the National Bureau for Economic Research (NBER). Constance has an extensive network of high-level, international economists, policymakers, business, and trade experts with whom she regularly consults and advises. Constance earned a BA in Economics and Sociology from New York University, a master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and the Certified Business Economist designation from NABE.
