Christie is a seasoned professional with more than thirty years’ experience at executive levels in both public and private companies, as well as multiple company directorships. Today, she is a director of Fyllo, a leading innovator in data and media solutions for highly regulated industries; Healthwell, a SPAC targeting technology-enabled healthcare businesses; ScentBeauty, a multi-brand developer and distributor for scented products; RDO, an agricultural conglomerate; and Metro Edge Development Partners, a commercial real estate firm focused on high-impact, technology-driven developments. She also works directly with CEOs on strategy and innovation, including the digital transformation of a media company and the rapid growth of a technology company that has patented a method of extracting methane from the atmosphere and turning it into a new material with the durability of plastic but that’s ocean biodegradable. Previously, Christie served in a variety of executive positions with Playboy Enterprises, a NYSE listed company, culminating in 20 years as Chairman and CEO making her the longest serving female CEO of a publicly traded company at the time. She was widely credited with developing and leading the execution of strategies that repositioned the company from its legacy domestic magazine business to a global multi-media and lifestyle company and building its institutional shareholder base. When she left, over 40% of her executives were women. For three years, Christie was named one of Fortune’s 100 Most Powerful Women in the World. She has been a regular moderator/interviewer for numerous organizations, including the Executives’ Club, the Women’s Business Development Center, and the NACD. She also serves on the boards of Springboard Enterprises, a nonprofit that is an accelerator for women tech entrepreneurs and supports them as they raise capital to grow their businesses; Rush University Medical Center, a leading academic medical center regularly ranked among the top hospitals in the nation; and The Center for American Progress Action, the leading progressive public policy think tank.
