Chris Smith is the Chief Strategy Officer of Grant Thornton LLP and a member of the firm’s Senior Leadership Team. He previously served as the National Managing Principal for the Growth Advisory practice in Advisory Services and served on the firm’s partnership board. Smith joined Grant Thornton via the acquisition of a boutique strategy firm he founded in 2007. Prior to that, Smith gained his experience from various boutique and global management consulting firms. His advisory experience focuses on designing and deploying future-ready strategies for clients wanting high, yet sustainable, growth. His depth of knowledge covers corporate strategy, digital, emerging technologies, and culture design. Smith has sat on the boards of directors of multiple companies and his thought leadership has appeared in several leading publications including the Harvard Business Review, Fortune, Forbes, and the Wall Street Journal.
