Carol Wagoner is the Area President for Gallagher’s Durham, NC office. In this role, she provides the strategy and leadership for her team’s growth. That growth encompasses several components such as strategic planning, sales management, client and market relations, financial performance, talent recruitment and engagement. Her leadership positions the Gallagher team to deliver an exceptional client experience for customers in the NC and VA markets. Before taking the helm of Gallagher Durham, Carol served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing where she led the client acquisition platform, ensuring double digit top line growth annually. Prior to that role, Carol served as Vice President, Operations. Before joining the firm in 2008, Carol started her career in human resources, seeking a role that involved developing relationships and helping people reach their full potential. Her impressive skill set includes human resources management, leadership, operations and organizational development experience. Throughout her career, Carol had an active role on the leadership team of organizations often advising executive teams on matters of employee relations, growth opportunities and change management initiatives. Today, 30 years later, Wagoner is still helping clients and the larger market reach their goals by taking a holistic approach with their employee value proposition. Her approach is simple – when employees are happy and thriving, the organization thrives. Accomplishment outside the workplace is equally important to Carol, and through the years she has contributed her time and talents to many worthwhile charitable and community-based organizations. Presently, Carol serves on the Board of Advisors for her local First Bank. She has served as Funding VP and on the Board of Directors for the Junior League of Raleigh, as well as on the Board of Directors for SAFEchild NC. She has lent her talents to Band Together and served in her church, White Memorial Presbyterian Church, as a Sunday school teacher.
