Carol Fulp

Carol Fulp is a business executive who is an authority on diversity and inclusion. She is the founder of Fulp Diversity LLC and the author of Success Through Diversity: Why The Most Inclusive Companies Will Win. Her book has been praised by Publishers Weekly, Booklist and the World Economic Forum. More than 125 organizations have engaged Fulp in book forums, diversity consulting and executive coaching services. Organizations include Microsoft, McKinsey, CVS, Mastercard, PBS, Google, Boston Red Sox, UPS, Novartis, Harvard University, Texas Conference for Women and more.
Fulp previously served as President & CEO of The Partnership, Inc., the national organization dedicated to enhancing competitiveness by developing multicultural executives and professionals. During its three decades, corporations have sponsored more than 6,000 multicultural professionals in The Partnership’s unique leadership development programming.
Prior to The Partnership, Fulp was Senior Vice President of Corporate Responsibility and Brand Initiatives for John Hancock Financial. She previously served as the Director of Community Programming and Human Resources for WCVB, the ABC-TV Boston affiliate. She also held the Corporate Employee Relations Manager function for the Gillette Company.
Given her leadership in business and public service, President Barack Obama appointed her as a Representative of the United States of America to the Sixty-fifth Session of the United Nations General Assembly. She currently serves as a Co-Chair of the New England Harris/Walt Steering Committee where she also created Massachusetts Women for Kamala!
Fulp serves on the Board of Advisors as well as the Foundation Board for Eastern Bank and is Vice Chair of the Board of the American Student Assistance Corporation. Her civic involvement includes the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library Foundation Board of Advisors and the Institute of Politics, Policy & History Senior Advisory Board. She is also a Founding Member of the Massachusetts Conference for Women, the largest professional women’s conference in the country, annually attracting 20,000 attendees. She is the Vice Chair Emerita of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Board and former Trustee for the University of the Virgin Islands.
Fulp is the recipient of many honors including the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Bostonian Award, the New England Anti-Defamation League’s Woman of Valor Award and the Museum of African American History’s Living Legend Award. During her career, Boston Business Journal listed her as one of the “50 Most Influential Bostonians”and Boston Magazine listed her as one of the “21 Most Powerful People in Boston Business.”
Fulp is a graduate of the University of the State of New York. She is a recipient of an honorary doctorate of law from New England Law Boston, honorary doctorate from Salem State University and honorary doctorate degree from Suffolk University Sawyer Business School, where was the commencement speaker. She is married to C. Bernard Fulp and they reside in Boston.
