Cammie Dunaway

Board Member, Planet Fitness, The Wonder Project, Flo

Cammie Dunaway is a board member and nominating and governance chair of Planet Fitness, a leading public company in the health and fitness industry. She also serves on the boards of The Wonder Project, a private entertainment studio, and Flo, a leader in women’s digital health support.

In addition to her board service, Dunaway is an independent executive coach and advisor. Previously, she was the chief marketing officer (CMO) of Duolingo, a language education platform, from 2018 until her retirement in July 2022.

Earlier in her career, Dunaway held executive leadership roles across multiple industries. She served as US president and global CMO of KidZania, an international location-based entertainment concept focused on children’s role-playing activities. At Nintendo, she was executive vice president, overseeing all sales and marketing activities for the United States, Canada, and Latin America. She also held the role of CMO at Yahoo! and spent 13 years at Frito-Lay in various sales and marketing leadership roles, including chief customer officer and vice president of kids and teens brands.

In her career, Dunaway has served on several additional corporate boards, including Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc. (2014–2024), GoHealth LLC (2017–2021), Nordstrom fsb (2014–2017), Marketo Inc. (2015–2016), and Brunswick Industries (2006–2014).

She holds a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Richmond and a master of business administration from Harvard Business School.
