Barbara Baumann is the board chair-elect for Devon Energy (NYSE:DVN) and is a director of National Fuel Gas (NYSE: NFG), as well as an independent trustee of the Putnam Mutual Funds and a senior advisor of the energy private equity firm, First Reserve. She formerly served on the boards of publicly-listed Buckeye Partners, SM Energy, CVR Energy and UNS Energy. From 1981-1999, Barbara worked at Amoco (later BP-Amoco) in financial and operating management roles, including as vice president of one of its six North American exploration & production business units. She subsequently held various private equity and consulting roles in the upstream sector. Barbara serves on the finance committee of Childrens Hospital Colorado and the investment committee of The Denver Foundation. She is a previous board chair of Girls, Inc. of Metro Denver, and of her undergraduate school, Mount Holyoke College, Barbara earned an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
