Ginny Cassidy recently retired as director of the Enterprise Sustainability Program at Medtronic PLC, a global leader in medical technology with a Mission to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life for millions of people around the world. In her role, Ginny advanced Medtronic’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance by collaborating with leaders across the enterprise to drive the company’s corporate sustainability governance, risk assessment, strategy and disclosure. Ginny joined Medtronic in 2006 in a communications role and produced the company’s first sustainability report in 2008. Under her leadership, Medtronic continually advanced comprehensive ESG disclosure, established a Sustainability Steering Committee to develop and oversee strategy, and created programs to improve performance in human rights, supply chain due diligence, and product and packaging sustainability.
