Joan Siefert Rose is executive director of the NACD Research Triangle Chapter. She previously served as CEO of LaunchBio Inc., a nonprofit organization that identifies, counsels, and supports high-growth, high-impact life science and biotechnology companies, and she continues her work with the organization as a strategic advisor.

Rose was also previously a senior partner at CREO, a management consulting company, and president and CEO of the Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), the nation’s longest-serving and largest entrepreneurial support organization, from 2008 until she joined LaunchBio in 2017.

With a long career in commercial and public broadcasting prior to CED, Rose has an interest in learning new roles and responsibilities while helping to take an organization to the next level. Her specialties include entrepreneurship, management consulting, nonprofit management, board service, and economic development.

Rose has been honored with the George Foster Peabody Award for excellence in radio or television, as well as the Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award for broadcasting.
