About The Event
Corporations are struggling with how to make responsible decisions about artificial intelligence, with directors trying to set strategic priorities, even as the pace of technological change accelerates.
Dr. Michael Capps, well-known technologist, co-founder and CEO of Howso (formerly Diveplane), and former president of Epic Games, is at the forefront of AI trends. His advice to corporate boards is to think critically and dispassionately about the elements of business being impacted by AI already, and which may be next. He argues that a failure to push hard on the business fundamentals and build a culture of responsiveness around AI could lead companies down a swift path toward obsolescence.
Joining Dr. Capps in a fireside chat is Gina Loften, Fortune 100 board director and former CTO of Microsoft US. They will discuss how boards can move from a “state of bewilderment” to an educated team that is informed about AI and its implications for workforce, R&D, product and services delivery, and corporate growth.
The program will conclude with a recognition ceremony to honor chapter members who recently have completed their NACD Certification, followed by a reception.
