Tom Petro is a seasoned corporate director, CEO, and founder with over 35 years of experience in both public and private companies. As the managing partner of 1867 Capital Partners, Tom leads venture investments in bioinformatics platforms, medical devices, fintech, and tech-enabled business services companies. His expertise extends across leadership, strategy, and execution, honed through his tenure as CEO of two public and two private companies, including a NASDAQ IPO. Tom's proficiency in growth, finance, enterprise risk management, culture development, and governance has been applied across a diverse range of industries and companies.

Currently, Tom serves on the board of directors of Univest Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: UVSP), where he chairs the risk management and trust committees and holds the position of vice chair of the audit committee. Additionally, he is a director of venture-backed Fintegra LLC; Derstine's Foodservice Distributor, a family-owned business; and USA Nordic Sports, the home of the US Olympic ski jumping and Nordic combined teams. Tom also contributes as a board member-in-residence for Mach49, a company that assists global companies in launching venture studios.

Tom's previous board chairmanship roles include OrthogenRx Inc., BizEquity Inc., the Pennsylvania Bankers Association, and the Community Depository Institution Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. He has also served as a director for Fox Chase Bancorp Inc. (NASDAQ: FXCB), Northeast Pennsylvania Financial Corp. (NASDAQ: NEPF), Genome Profiling LLC, WealthHub Solutions, the American Bankers Association, Eastern University, and others.

Tom holds a bachelor of science degree in business management from Point Park University. He holds the CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight from the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, specifically designed for board directors. Tom is also an NACD Board Leadership Fellow and holds the NACD Directorship Certification.
