Dr. Karen Smith Bogart is president of Smith Bogart Consulting. She has founded and led start-up firms and taught at the University of California at Santa Barbara. Previously, she was senior vice president of Eastman Kodak Co. and managed global consumer, health, and commercial businesses. She also was chairman and president of Greater Asia, located in Shanghai, China.

Dr. Smith Bogart currently is a director of Mohawk Industries (MHK), an NYSE-listed floor covering firm, and Michelman Inc., a private specialty chemicals company. She chairs the Compensation Committee on both boards. She also chairs the Fielding Graduate University Board of Trustees.

Dr. Smith Bogart holds a PhD and Master of Arts in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Rochester, a Master in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, and a BA in Political Science from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
