She previously served on advisory boards for CleanBlu, a private water reclamation technologies company; and the Women Founders Network, a virtual accelerator that connects women founders with the resources they need to grow their businesses.
Selleck had a successful 30-year career in the financial services industry. She served as senior executive vice president and treasurer for Union Bank, a top-25 U.S. bank and a key subsidiary of Japan’s Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), one of the world’s largest financial organizations. Her many accomplishments at Union Bank include successfully guiding the bank through the most significant financial crisis of the modern era, presiding over meaningful growth (2.6x) in the bank’s balance sheet, and expertly navigating an increasingly challenging economic and regulatory environment in the banking industry. She is the recipient of many professional honors, including being named a Woman to Watch by American Banker Magazine in 2012.
Selleck transformed the treasury function at Union Bank, creating a strategic treasury unit with a share-holder value focus. She provided expert leadership of all corporate treasury functions for the bank and holding company and had P&L responsibility for the bank’s $20 billion investment portfolio, which she grew from $6 billion during her tenure while consistently delivering above-budget returns. In addition to her responsibilities as treasurer, Selleck served as a policy making officer and member of Union Bank’s Executive Committee. In this capacity, she drove growth and profitability and directed major corporate policies, including strategic and financial issues, M&A, and the risk profile of the company. Of particular note is the significant role she played in the parent company (MUFG) initiative to combine and integrate all U.S. operations, including Union Bank, into the newly created MUFG Americas Holdings Corp.
Selleck joined Union Bank in 2002 and was promoted to SEVP in 2012 following a succession of progressive leadership positions. She began her career in the financial services industry at Bank of America, where she served as vice president and manager in Corporate Treasury holding various roles within that division with increasing responsibility.
Selleck currently serves on the Board of Heal the Bay. She has previously served on the boards of the National Association of Corporate Treasurers, Girls Inc. of Greater Los Angeles, and the Organization of Women Executives.
