Brenda I. Morris is an experienced and strategic director, with a unique combination of credentials and skills, including her CPA, CMA, CGMA, and MBA, and strong organizational achievements in a diverse group of industries, including retail and wholesale, sporting goods and outdoor equipment, home decor, apparel and soft goods, service industries, manufacturing, food distribution, and production.

Morris currently serves as director and Audit Committee chair for Boot Barn Holdings, a publicly traded western lifestyle retailer, and she is also a former member of the Governance and Nominating Committee. She also serves on the board of Duluth Trading Co., a publicly traded lifestyle retailer, and is a member of the Compensation and Audit Committees; on the Advisory Board for Asarasi, a firm pioneering the recovery and bottling of naturally pure tree-drawn water; and on the board of H & W Franchise Holdings, dba Xponential Fitness, a curator of boutique fitness brands, where she is Audit Committee chair. She is the past-chair of Washington Business Week, an organization for teenagers interested in practical business experiences; current director for the NACD Pacific Southwest Chapter; current Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) regent; past advisor for Operatunities, a nonprofit providing arts experience to senior citizens; past member of the Executive Advisory Board for PLU’s School of Business; and guest speaker and active member of the AICPA.

Morris has held executive positions with several high-profile companies, including Hot Topic Inc./Torrid LLC, 5.11 Tactical, Zumiez, K2 Sports, Unionbay Sportswear, and FlowMole Corp., and is an active partner for CSuite Financial Partners. During her career, she has spent more than 20 years in publicly traded companies and more than 15 years in private equity-backed organizations, generally with strong entrepreneurial founders or CEOs. She has logged hundreds of hours in the boardroom, as chairperson, executive, and facilitator. Her board experience brings proficiency in working with directors and executives to serve the best interests of the company or organization, always striving for success as defined by the mission.
