Energy Industry: Big Shifts, Big Impact

Every director should understand how energy transitions will shape their company’s operations and future. This program aims at raising director awareness of energy risks and opportunities for their firms and the broader economy. It is intended to prepare directors for energy risk identification and assessment of alternatives.

This expert panel will examine the following critical issues for Pacific Southwest chapter corporate board members:

Transitions from carbon-based energy sources to renewables will pose significant opportunities and risks including supply continuity vs. needs, cost, capability, and geopolitical security.
Pacific Southwest energy sector issues include renewable-sourced supply vs. forecasted demand, grid modernization for broader electrification, rebuilding of infrastructure after climate-affected fires and storms, and growing governmental regulations.  
This program will raise director awareness of key energy developments, transition steps, and related risks and opportunities for their firms and the broader economy.
