Scott Armstrong

Scott Armstrong currently serves as chair of the board for Puget Sound Energy, the Pacific Northwest's largest private gas and electric utility. He is also an independent director for Delta Dental of Washington, chairing the provider payment committee, and serves on the investment review board of SpringRock Ventures, a venture fund investing in entrepreneurial teams that are solving critical health-care issues in disruptive ways. Armstrong served for 12 years as president and CEO of Group Health Cooperative, a nationally recognized health-care system serving patients across the Pacific Northwest. In 2017, he led the sale of Group Health to Kaiser Permanente and the creation of Kaiser's Washington region and the Group Health Foundation, an independent foundation initially funded with the $1.8 billion proceeds from the sale. Armstrong has served in a variety of roles on regional nonprofit boards, including the Pacific Science Center.
