Mike Millegan
Director
Michael Millegan is the founder and CEO of the Millegan Advisory Group-3 LLC, which advises companies on technology innovation and business transformation. He has invested in and mentored several successful start-up businesses. Leveraging his strong governance experience, he is an independent public board director for Portland General Electric (NYSE: POR), where he is a chair of the audit and risk committee. In addition, he is a director for Axis Capital (NYSE: AXS), where he chairs the human capital and compensation committee and is a member of the finance committee. He previously served on the board of Wireless Telecom Group (NYSE: WTT) and Coresite (NYSE: COR) and participated in their separate merger-and-acquisition strategic transactions.
During his corporate career, Millegan distinguished himself as a multidisciplined, transformational leader, having led several large-scale and -scope business units, ranging from consumer to enterprise. Early in his career, he established and led a start-up wireless business unit that brought new data technology to consumers. He later led the Verizon Supply Chain Organization while unlocking $1 billion of new revenue and controlling $5 billion of inventory and a fleet of 67,000. In his last role at Verizon, he served as both the president of Verizon Global Wholesale (13,000 employees, $11 billion revenue, $1 billion capital spend) and president of Verizon Digital Media Services. Millegan specialized in critical network infrastructure deployments while managing and selling cloud, data center, and Internet of Things and software-defined networking solutions. He is known as an expert on enterprise and cybersecurity solutions. While leading the digital media group, Millegan focused on building a content delivery engine that provided secure storage and apparatus for data analytics. In each assignment, Millegan displayed a keen eye for delivering key profit-and-loss results while balancing operational effectiveness.
Millegan lends his industry expertise to the boards of VETT’D (AI focus) and WINDPACT (sports technology) as an investor and advisor. He is also a limited partner in Flying Fish Partners, a venture capital firm that invests in artificial intelligence/machine learning and robotics. He was named to Savoy Magazine’s Most Influential Directors list.
