Carol Kobuke Nelson currently serves as a director of Delta Dental of Washington and member of the Investment & Audit and HR/Compensation Committees. She is also on the Board of Advisors of Brooks Sports Inc.-a Berkshire Hathaway Company-and vice chair of the board of Washington State Major League Baseball Stadium Public Facilities District. She was a director of Cascade Financial Corp. (Nasdaq: CASB) and Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Seattle Branch. Nelson was previously an independent director of Premera Blue Cross, where she chaired the Audit Committee. She was also a top executive for KeyBank (NYSE: KEY), a top-20 U.S. bank, with a leading commercial and investment banking platform for middle market clients. She served as Key's Pacific Region Executive and Market president, one of seven regions nation-wide, managing KeyBank's brand and success throughout the Pacific Northwest. Nelson was a member of KeyBank's Executive Council as well as director and trustee for the KeyBank Foundation, retiring in June 2019. During her tenure, she was named to American Banker magazine's Most Powerful Women in Banking Top Team. Previously, Nelson served as CEO, president, and director of Cascade Financial Corp. (formerly Nasdaq: CASB) and Cascade Bank. In addition to her corporate experience, Nelson has been an active community leader. She is chair-elect of the Board for United Way of King County, one of the largest United Way affiliates in the country. Nelson served her alma mater, Seattle University as a board member and Audit Committee chair, receiving its distinguished alumni professional achievement award. She is a member of NACD and Women Corporate Directors and was the 2019 Seattle Event co-chair for 2020 Women on Boards.
