Mark Sinclair is a board member and Audit Committee chairman of Daseke Inc., a high-growth Nasdaq-traded company, which is the largest owner and consolidator of flatbed and specialized transportation in North America. The Daseke Board was recognized as the 2017 Outstanding Public Company Board in North Texas by the Dallas Business Journal. Sinclair is also chairman of the Board of the Institute for Excellence in Corporate Governance at the University of Texas at Dallas and is a board member of the NACD North Texas Chapter and has earned the NACD Board Leadership Fellow designation. In 2018, he received the DCEO Financial Executives Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance.

As of the end of 2017, Sinclair completed a 46-year career in public accounting with over 38 years at Ernst & Young (EY) where he served as an audit partner, as partner in charge of Human Resources, and partner in charge of the Strategic Growth Markets Practice in North Texas. After retirement from EY, he served eight years as a partner at Whitley Penn LLP, a Texas regional accounting firm.

Sinclair has been active in the community for many years, serving on more than 30 nonprofit boards including 10 as chairman. The boards range from governance boards to civic boards with an economic development focus (City of Dallas Economic Development Advisory, Dallas Regional Chamber, City of Dallas – State Thomas Tax Increment Financing District, North Texas Regional Center for Innovation and Commercialization, Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau, and others), to boards of charitable organizations (Volunteer Center of North Texas, The Arts Community Alliance, Dallas Child Guidance Clinic, and others), and professional organization boards (Institute of Management Accountants, North Texas and Texas Region).

Sinclair is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant.
