Bill Roskin

Director

William A. Roskin serves as a member of the Compensation Committee of the Sony Corporation of America, and from 2008 through 2015, he was a member of the Board of Directors of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc., where he chaired its Compensation and Nominating and Governance Committees and was a member of its Audit Committee. He currently serves on the Board of Mailpix Inc., a privately held company in the digital imaging business, and previously served on two publicly held companies, iON Media Inc. and Media and Entertainment Holdings Inc. He also served on the Board of Ritz Interactive Inc., a private company in the online photo finishing business.

Roskin is a member of the Board of Directors of the New York Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and of Lyons, Benenson & Company Inc., a broad-based management consulting firm with an emphasis in executive compensation and organizational development consulting services to various public and private companies.

Roskin was a member of NACD’s Blue Ribbon Commission that issued the well-received report The Board and Long-Term Value Creation. In 2015, he was selected as one of 50 of the country’s most influential directors in corporate governance and in the boardroom by NACD and listed in Directorship magazine’s Directorship’s 100 for 2015.

Roskin was the senior executive responsible for the human resources and administration functions of Viacom from 1988 to 2008, ultimately serving as executive vice president. Before joining Viacom, he was the senior vice president of Human Resources at Coleco Industries Inc. (1996-1998) and spent 10 years at Warner Communications, where he held several executive positions in labor relations, including vice president. He was also the general counsel to the City of New York’s City Civil Service Commission from 1971 to 1976.

Roskin earned his LLM (Labor Law) from New York University’s School of Law, his JD from St. John’s University School of Law, and his BBA degree from the Baruch School of the City College of New York.
