Lori Pressler is a partner at Deloitte with more than 25 years of experience serving both domestic and global clients across various commercial industries. Currently, she is the National Professional Practice director (NPPD) for the US India (USI) practice and Professional Practice director (PPD) for the U.S. Tri-State (NY, NJ, and CT) practice. In these roles, she performs accounting, auditing, and financial reporting consultations, oversees quality on all audit engagements in these practices, performs risk management activities, and regularly facilitates training on technical accounting and auditing topics.
Additionally, Pressler has overseen Deloitte’s procedures on multiple acquisitions and financing transactions for several commercial clients within the Tri-State practice and has significant experience triaging complex restatement issues stemming from her consultation leadership on a significant multinational restatement, which ended in the first super 10-K filing. A specialist in share-based payments, Pressler leads the East region’s subject-matter resource team on this topic and has had extensive training since previously serving a two-year rotation in the firm’s National Office. While there, she was one of the authors of Deloitte’s manual on accounting for share-based payments.
Pressler previously served as a regional leader of the Deloitte’s Women’s Initiative, spearheading one of our programs for high-performing women senior managers. She is currently highly involved in the firm’s partner selection process and the Tri-State practice’s recruiting efforts and serves as the CPA Champion for younger professionals.
Prior to becoming the NPPD and PPD, Pressler was the lead client service partner for a multinational life sciences company based in New Jersey and also led a separate multinational company through a transformative global carve-out process. In these roles, she interfaced with executive management and coordinated global client services, including supervising client service teams and reviewing management’s approach to complex accounting, financial reporting, SEC filings, and corporate governance matters.
Recently Pressler was appointed by the New Jersey Governor to the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy. She also serves on the North Jersey Board of Junior Achievement and is the firm liaison to the NACD New Jersey Chapter.
