Transformation of Healthcare and Its Impact on Governance

Healthcare, whether it be the provider, life sciences or payer sectors, continues to rapidly transform. Several factors are driving this transformation at an unprecedented pace.  These include the acceleration of changes in health care delivery to outpatient, home-based and on-line venues, accelerated by value-based care; expanded use of AI and digital technology;  the financial strain on the delivery system caused by these shifts in preferred treatment modalities; and the urgent continuing need to have a rational means for making pharmaceuticals, and pharmaceutical innovation, central to the delivery system.  As healthcare governing boards exercise oversight in this dynamic climate, they also must consider new compliance and other regulations, along with such key areas as cultural oversight.  This program will highlight key changes that have both occurred and are expected to occur over the next few years and their impact on Board Governance for those in the area of Healthcare.
