NACD Survey Reveals Top Director Concerns for 2020 (December 14, 2019)

More than half of the respondents to NACD’s just released public company governance survey identified growing business-model disruptions (52%), a slowing global economy (51%), and heightened competition for talent (51%) as the top three trends most likely to impact their organizations over the next 12 months. These responses suggest that boards need to question management on how they are preparing for the next economic recession and what specifically they are doing to foster innovation.

More than 500 US public company directors responded to NACD’s annual survey that gauges the current state of board governance. Specifically, this year’s survey explores issues of board size, structure, and composition; director priorities and trends; and leading oversight practices.
