Christopher Shirling

Treasurer, Committee Chair - Finance

I’ve spent most of the past 30 years in CFO positions at tech and advertising agencies like Intouch Group LLC, CTI, AGC/ATG, and VML, where I was responsible for everything from auditing and validating financial records to managing international operating costs to successfully leading multimillion-dollar equipment negotiations. Among colleagues, I’m known for seeing beyond the status quo to streamline operations, optimize resources, implement internal controls, and ensure the financial stability of the organization.

Collaboration and consensus building are core to my leadership style. I navigate confidently across functional areas and with cross-cultural teams, corporate leadership, strategic partners, colleagues, and clients. I lead with authenticity, embrace change, engage teams in the process, and empower staff to excel, ensuring both personal and organizational growth.

My professional experience extends to finance, accounting, and global business operations, with expertise in P&L management, tax, M&A, and post-merger integration. I’ve led SOX implementation, process improvement, and IT infrastructure projects, all while delivering strategic solutions that drive operational efficiency. Additionally, I have a proven track record in cross-functional leadership and fostering strong board and investor relationships.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kansas (1988) and am a Certified Public Accountant. I have experience serving on multiple boards, such as Intouch Peerless Pvt, Intouch Solutions International Ltd, Intouch Solutions Holding Corporation, and All in for a Cure. I also contribute to the success of Indian Hills Country Club as Board Member, President, and Treasurer, and I serve as Treasurer for the Phi Delta Theta Corporation Board. Further, I support local education initiatives as a Board Member for the Shawnee Mission East Fund.

My professional achievements have been recognized through awards such as the Kansas City Business Journal CFO of the Year in 2020 and the Club President of the Year from Boardroom Magazine in 2023. These accomplishments reflect my dedication to excellence and my ability to lead organizations to success.
