NACD Florida Announces Board Leadership Changes

FLORIDA--(September 19, 2023)—Evelyn D’An is an experienced independent board director and Hispanic business leader. She spent 18 years with EY as an audit partner where she served clients in retail, consumer products, technology, financial services, media, and other sectors. She has held numerous chief financial officer and financial leadership roles throughout her career and has served as a corporate board director since 2006.

Today, she serves on the boards of GHD, Backblaze, and Zoomcar where she brings her diverse background as an experienced chair of audit, compensation, and nominating/governance committees. On the GHD board, she also serves on the company’s risk committee and their inclusion and diversity council.

D’An has been a member of NACD since 2012 and has served on the Florida board since 2015 in multiple roles.

During his career at KPMG from 1983 until 2021, Hector Mojena served as partner in charge of the South Florida business unit and managing partner of the Miami office. He served as the lead audit partner on large, multinational consumer and industrial market companies such as Home Depot, AutoNation, Burger King Corp., Winn-Dixie Stores, Compass Group North America, Watsco Inc., Ryder System Inc., Terremark Worldwide, and Florida Crystals, among others.

Most recently, he served as the regional managing partner for KPMG’s audit practice in Latin America and oversaw their audit operations in seventeen countries. He also played a leading role in KPMG’s audit committee institute, providing board leaders with practical insights, resources, and peer exchange opportunities.

Mojena has been a leader on various nonprofit boards, the United Way Miami, The Beacon Council, the Miami Herbert Business School Accounting Advisory Board, Voices for Children Foundation, the Junior Achievement, and the , among others.
