Hugo is a managing director of Aon's sales and distribution team. In this role, he is responsible for leading the new business team within the state of Florida for health, wealth, and risk.

Prior to joining Aon's South East team in 2022, Hugo ran AIG's trade credit multinational product offering, and was based in Chicago. In addition, he was the executive contact for Fortune 500 clients and prospects when structuring and underwriting multinational programs for the Credit Line's business.

Hugo began his career in the insurance industry as a business development broker in 2006 and has since held various roles of increasing responsibility in different geographies and companies. This included opening new broker channels, and development, launch, and profitable growth of insurance products while driving creative solutions for clients both here and abroad.

Hugo's expertise is in leadership and team building, profitable market share growth, P&L management, planning, cross-border negotiation, and strategy execution.

Hugo earned a BBA in international commerce from the Methodist University of Santa Maria and an MBA from IESE University of Navarra in Spain.
