Evelyn D’An

Evelyn D’An is an experienced independent board director and chair of audit, compensation, and nominating/governance committees, as well as a CFO, former Big 4 audit partner, and Hispanic business leader. She spent 18 years with EY where she served clients in retail, consumer products, technology, financial services, media, and other sectors. She was also senior vice president of Finance and Accounting for Brightstar Corp., a Miami-based $5 billion global distributor and service provider for the wireless industry, and the CFO of Brightstar ERV (ERecycling Verizon).
D’An’s diverse background offers a valuable combination of private equity ownership experience, along with public company corporate governance and reporting. Throughout her career, she has taken on financial and operational leadership roles. In 2016, D’An joined the Board of Summer Infant, a Nasdaq manufacturer of infant and juvenile products, where she chairs the Compensation Committee and is a member of the Audit Committee. In early 2018, she joined the board of Enochian Biosciences Inc., an OTC biosciences technology start-up engaged in R&D, manufacturing, and clinical trials of products for the human treatment of HIV/AIDS and cancer. She chairs the Audit Committee and is a member of the Compensation Committee. D’An’s prior board service includes Hot Topic, a Nasdaq-registered teen specialty retailer with 850 retail mall locations across the United States, where she chaired the Audit Committee and Nominating Committee. In 2005, she served as a member of the Board of Directors and chair of the Audit Committee for Alico Inc., a Nasdaq-registered land management company specializing in agricultural and property development operations.
D’An earned her BS at State University at Albany and completed several graduate accounting courses at Florida International University. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida and New York (inactive).
