Nick Baumgarter

Nick Baumgarter leads the sales function for one of Aon's largest markets. He drives growth, supports colleague development, and oversees sales and marketing plans while ensuring accurate forecasting and budgeting. Nick builds effective sales campaigns, fosters collaboration, and delivers on key growth metrics.
Since joining Aon in 2012, Nick has managed client relationships across industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, and higher education. He has expertise in complex risk transfer programs, captives, and total cost of risk strategies. He has also supported Aon’s Higher Education Practice through thought leadership and product development.
Nick began his insurance career at Marsh in 2010, managing professional and alumni association insurance programs. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management with a minor in International Business from the University of Dayton. A graduate of Aon’s Leadership Development Program, Nick has been recognized as a 2019 Risk and Insurance Power Broker Finalist and a 2018 Rising Star. He is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life & Health.
